Rooted in Community. Built to Last.
iCare Foundation was born from a simple but powerful belief: when families thrive, communities flourish. For over 10 years, we have been quietly doing the work in Greater Tampa Bay — running a food pantry, showing up for students at back-to-school events, serving holiday meals, and building the foundation for a comprehensive network of family programs.
We didn't start with a grant or a government contract. We started with neighbors helping neighbors — showing up every day because the need was real and the community deserved better. Our food pantry has been open 4 days a week, consistently, for years.
In 2025, iCare Foundation received its federal 501(c)(3) determination — formalizing a decade of trusted service and creating a foundation for sustainable, measurable growth. We are now positioned to expand the scope of our impact across Hillsborough County and beyond.
"We are not an outside organization coming in to help. We are your neighbors — serving our own community."
10+ Years of Community Service
Grassroots Beginnings
iCare Foundation begins serving Greater Tampa Bay families through community outreach and an informal food pantry — fueled entirely by volunteer effort and neighbor-to-neighbor care.
Programs Expand
Annual back-to-school giveaways grow in scope, equipping hundreds of students with backpacks and school supplies each year. Community engagement deepens across Hillsborough County.
Deepening Impact
The food pantry opens 4 days a week, year-round. Holiday meal drives grow in scope, ensuring no family goes without during Thanksgiving and Christmas. Basketball for Health launches as our first health and wellness program.
Official 501(c)(3) Recognition
iCare Foundation receives its IRS determination letter as a federally recognized 501(c)(3) public charity — formalizing a decade of community service and opening new doors for grant funding.
Mission, Vision & Purpose
iCare Foundation exists to ensure that no family in Greater Tampa Bay has to choose between today's needs and tomorrow's potential. We provide food, education, career skills, health support, and family strengthening — because lasting change happens when we invest in the whole family.
A Greater Tampa Bay where every family has access to food, opportunity, and the support they need to thrive — and where community organizations like iCare serve as trusted anchors of lasting change.
Our approach is built on dignity, not charity. We build capacity rather than dependency — equipping individuals and families with the tools, skills, and resources to build lasting stability on their own terms.
