Accessibility Statement

iCare Foundation is committed to making our website usable by everyone.

iCare Foundation (iCareGives.org) is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards.

Our Standard

We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who are blind or have low vision, deaf or hard of hearing, have motor impairments, or have cognitive disabilities.

What We Have Done

  • Added a "Skip to main content" link so keyboard users can bypass navigation
  • Ensured all interactive elements are reachable and operable by keyboard alone
  • Provided descriptive labels for buttons, links, and form fields
  • Used semantic HTML and ARIA roles so screen readers can accurately interpret page structure
  • Maintained sufficient color contrast between text and backgrounds
  • Ensured all images include descriptive alternative text
  • Designed the site to be fully responsive across devices and screen sizes

Assistive Technologies Supported

This website is designed to be compatible with the following assistive technologies:

  • Screen readers (VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA)
  • Keyboard-only navigation
  • Browser zoom and text resizing
  • High contrast display modes

Known Limitations

While we strive to meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards across the entire site, some third-party embedded content โ€” such as our donation form powered by Zeffy โ€” is outside our direct control. We work with our partners to encourage accessibility best practices.
